Follow this link for information and blog about "Beach Trash, A Whale of a Problem", an environmental art project created by the first grade classes and their amazing teachers at Jefferson Elementary IB School in Carlsbad, California. gARTbage is honored to have been a part of the team/community that created this. The 21+ foot long whale banner, which was hanging at Sea Life Aquarium in Carlsbad and at the Living Coast Discovery Center, is now hanging at the San Diego Coastkeeper office in the Liberty Station complex. Check out their website and see all of the things they are doing for our oceans! If you are interested in displaying Li'l Gray, send us an email. Little Italy North Art d'Strada

Little Italy North held their first annual Street Art Festival on 9/24/11. Teresa was invited to create some temporary gARTbage pieces for the show by Elizabeth Scalice, owner of Architectural Salvage, a very fun store! There were many artists showing their work created from recycled materials. Teresa used a few things from the store as the base for the pieces, then added lots of beach trash! Thank you Elizabeth and Enrique!
